At Kurukshetra, Pandu battled Paundra who forgot that Vishnu the giant fish-man saved the world in the flood. Is it possible that this became a legend in Australia? It seems that Balinese "ngajahin guru" sailed in a ship to east Australia, where "ngartja guru" elders remember the history. Mahji is a strong god there, and Balinese "Mahaji" means "almighty father".

2. Murray River-wikipedia
Being one of the major river systems in one of the driest continents of Earth, the Murray has significant cultural relevance to Indigenous Australians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigenous_Australians). According to the peoples of Lake Alexandrina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Alexandrina,_South_Australia), the Murray was created by the tracks of the Great Ancestor, Ngurunderi (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ngurunderi&action=edit&redlink=1), as he pursued Pondi (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pondi&action=edit&redlink=1) /Pundu the Murray Cod (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murray_Cod). .. However, the shock to the fish was so great it launched him forward in a straight line to a place called Peindjalang, near Tailem Bend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tailem_Bend,_South_Australia).

4. "Guthi-guthi went back up into the sky and he called out once more, "Ngatji", but once again Ngatji didn't respond. So Guthi-guthi came down with a roar like thunder and banged on the mountain and the mountain split open. Ngatji the water serpent came out. And where the water serpent travelled he made waterholes and streams and depressions in the land.
So once all that was finished, of course, Ngatji went back into the mountain to live and that's where Ngatji lives now, in Mount Manara. But then after that, they wanted another lot of water to come down from the north, throughout our country. Old Pundu, the Cod, it was his duty to drag and create the river known as the Darling River today."
