Namaste,
My Son was a Hindu temple complex within the champa kingdom, located in what is known today as Duy Xuyen District in the central province of Quang Nam.
The site is located 69km southwest of Da Nang, and approximately 10km from the historic town of Tra Kieu. Tra Kieu ( simhapura) was the first capital of champa serving in that capacity from the 4th through 8th century. It comprises many champa temples, in valley roughly 2km wide, surrounded by two mountain ranges. It is the former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled Central Vietnam from the second to the thirteenth century. Their religion was primarily derived from Indian Hinduism. My Son is considered to be one of the best-preserved Cham structures in Vietnam.

Thank you SO much for sharing this truth about Hinduism in Vietnam. Also the RAMAYANA was in Vietnam by the 7th Century, there were temples also with Ram. There were temples to Shiva, and Uma Maheshwari was beloved.

Here is a link on the Ramayana all over the world. See page 23 on The Ramayana in Vietnam.
