Recently I found many hymms dedicated to Guru, created by Adi Shankaracharya. I have created a playlist (http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLo7YX77nPBtNz9trDi0JtZg__eewIGAtS&feature=view_all). Direct Link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F_fopReJaA&list=PLo7YX77nPBtNz9trDi0JtZg__eewIGAtS)

Lyrics can be found at http://www.hindupedia.com/en/Category:Stotra

Namaste Indiaspirituality

Suppose one day God and your teacher stand before you. Whom should one give the first reverence?

(Guru Govinda dou khade kake lagu payaBalihari Guru apane Govinda diyo batay)

Thank you Devotee ji and Shivafan ji

The ones you both have pointed out are also my favorites.

Individual tracks are available at flipcart and was thinking of buying them. Buying individual tracks are much cheaper (and better) than buying full album DVD.

In Jyotish, Guru plays a very important role - he is karaka for 2nd (dhana), 5th (putra/children) and 9th (dharma) houses. It is said 1000 negativities in a chart are mitigated by the glance of Guru who views the 5th, 7th and 9th houses from his placement. I personally like Sri Dakshinamoorthy Stotram, I recite it sometimes during adverse Guru transits, but generally astrologers advice it to people who want to excel in education, get a dignified job and so forth. As everyone knows, Guru is on 'silent tapasya' under the Banyan tree teaching about 'Atma' to the 4 sanat-kumaras and thus yogis may also benefit from worship of Guru/Dakshinamoorthy. This link (http://www.arshabodha.org/shridakshinamurtistotram.pdf) from Arsha Vidya Gurukulam, PA, USA gives some useful documentation and stotras on Sri Medha Dakshinamoorthy. Many people visit this temple in PA with 'Black Chick peas' garland and with prayers, mostly to get good job.

Indeed Dakshinamoorty is a Guru who teaches through silence, which is the highest form of teaching and grace
