The renowned Gaudiya Vaisnava teacher and scholar Sri Haridas Sastri Maharaj has recently published an ebook called The Means to Attain Bhagavan as per Srimad Bhagavad-Gita, accompanied by Sri Guru-Astaka and Advertent Avoidance of Seva Aparadha and Nama Aparadha.

As the title suggests, this work is a collection of verses from the Gita and Sri Guru Astaka (along with some elucidations) that guide us towards God. It also contains a detailed explanation of the aparadhas that should be avoided with conscious efforts. All these three topics are mutually dependent and cannot be considered in isolation if one wishes to achieve the desired goal.

The theme of this work is the presentation of bhagavata-dharma in a simple, easy and practical manner. While the introduction and the main text bring out its salient features in a clear manner, the epilogue describes the application and practice of bhagavata-dharma and the role of Go-Seva in it.

Pranams.

I just noticed that from the above website, there is mention of "Vedānta-darśana where he explained which aphorism from Vedānta-Sūtra corresponds to which verse in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, fulfilling thus the wish of Śrī Caitanya."

Is this "Vedanta-darsana" available in English? Is it, per chance, available electronically? I would be very interested in obtaining literature describing a comparison of the bhAgavata purANa with vedAnta-sUtra, showing how the aphorisms are expanded upon in the purANa.

Dear philosoraptor

We would be happy to translate Vedanta-Darshana (http://uttama-bhakti.org/en/book/7.html) one day, but for the time being neither time nor recourses permit us. When it is done one day, though, we will certainly let you know.
