My impression from the picture is that he is wryly humourous, and very focused/resolved. The cast of his eyes and face, ears, to me indicates that he *sees* and the crease in his forehead I think speaks evidence of having, um, cracked open his peripheral vision :)

Probably he's fairly sarcastic at times, but funny.
