Namaste,
Another great forum http://www.religiousforums.com/forum/hinduism-dir/151758-neo-hinduism-11.html and a lot of familiar and friendly names in the Hinduism section. Be sure to visit. Some interesting posts from HDF expats and current members.

You have linked to a thread rather than the forum as a whole.

Yes, indeed as HDF was being discussed on that thread.

Namaste,

I think a few older threads also discuss HDF.

Namaste,

Normal progression:

Discuss things in one of the several sub-forums at HDF.
Move on to Jalpa for extended back and forth.
When things can't be settled there either, carry them over to another forum.:)

Namaste.

Better progression:

Discuss Abrahamic Faiths on HDF.
Satay gets fed up with people talking about other religions than Hinduism and locking threads.
When things can't be settled, introduce a 'Religious Forum' with a Hindu section, where people can go, to take such discussion off HDF.

This seems closer to the truth.

I too post there sometimes. It seems to have a lot of members.

What I observed is that, under almost every topic, irrelevant discussions/simple chat takes place almost non-stop. Some moderate chatting adds to interest in participation, but if a thread is heavily hijacked into discussions on topic unrelated, then we have to go through volumes to sort out those relevant posts! (Needless to say, endless chatting also gives rise to conflict situations!).

But an interesting forum overall!
