Namaste,
Once in Dwapara yuga, 2 rishis 'Gopilar' and 'Gopralayar' set out to have darshan of Krishna, not knowing that Krishna avatara already had gotten over and he had reached Vaikuntha. On their way when they neared Rajamannargudi, Sage Narada appeared before them and told them about Krishna. On hearing the news, both the rishis were too saddened that they fainted. On coming back, Sage Narada advised them to pray towards Sri Krishna so that the Lord can then give them darshan. Thus the obedient rishis prayed to Lord Krishna for a very long time, and eventually the pleased lord gave them darshan as 'Paravasudeva'. Not satisfied with 1 darshan, the rishis asked for more darshan of the swami and Sri Krishna gave them darshan in 32 forms, symbolic of the 32 ways or means for reaching god. The following are the 32 different darshans the Lord gave to the rishis: Ref: http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090927012940AA2zdoT
