Namaste,

Can anyone provide details about the different traditions of the Shakta School?

For example,Vaishanavam has 4 main traditions(Sri Sampradaya,Brahma Sampradaya etc.) +some offshoots(Gaudiya Sampradaya etc.).

Please do not copy n paste from wikipedia.

Namaste,

Since you have asked "do not copy n paste from Wikipedia",
might I ask what knowledge of Shakta sampradayas you are already
aware of? It is easier to fill gaps in knowledge when one knows where they
are, and avoiding a lengthy essay in a reply, in order to cover all possible
ground, is desirable.

Hello,
As per my limited knowledge,two sampradyas are there;
1)Srikul
2)Kalikul
Srikul followers are mostly are worshippers of Sree Chakra ,Sri Lalita MahaTripurasundari as the their main deity.
Kalikul worshippes Durga, kali as their main deities.

My pranams to the worshippers of Divine Mother Goddess.:)

Namaste Ji,

Wikipedia's article on Shakta mentions about Sri Kula,Kali Kula,Sapta Matrukas,Nava Durgas and Dasha MahaVidyas but I think it is a short and incomplete summary.I do not know from which traditions these pantheons of Devi originate.

I want to see a detailed classification of Shakta Tradition.I'll be grateful if learned members can provide this information.
