Wake up to news hitting tv and wires this morning there was a big earthquake in Kathmandu Nepal and surroundings, many dead, very disturbing hearing Ancient Temples were destroyed, upsetting for me having visited so many temples there over the years, now may have photos of temples that no longer exist. Some will no doubt be rebuilt.
I do not have the damage count yet... others?

Namaste,
Please spread the word about the following Hindu links for the Nepalese Earthquake Relief,
VHP: http://ess.vhp-america.org/dms/contribute.php?dicds=42&
SEWA (select project: Nepal Earthquake Relief): http://www.sewausa.org/donate
Both charities are registered with the IRS and your donations are tax deductible.
Pranam.

HERE is also another link with many useful donation paths. I have already given 3 donations to two organizations (International Medical Corps and Mercy Corps)

Namaste,
One has to be careful with generic lists as many of the charities are church based and are out to harvest Hindu souls with every calamity that befalls the humanity.

Namaste,
An online friend works with Shakti's Melody to help in his home country of Nepal as much as possible. He is currently running his own fundraiser for them to buy food for survivors and will be traveling home soon to help out by cooking and distributing food. Here is his video link:

And a link to his fundraiser:

The Red Cross in Nepal (https://www.redcross.org/combined-donate?donationProdId=prod9150029)
And Donation Link for people in India (https://paytm.com/shop/search/?q=nepal&category=5021) who can afford to give, allowing donations in Rupees - assuming providing such a link is needed, which perhaps it is not.
Agreed, the Seva Foundation is great, I have linked to it elsewhere too. Here is a direct donation link (https://secure2.convio.net/seva/site/Donation2;jsessionid=13DA8B424A365601B4BF9DCC69A5BE55.app271a?idb=1763156034&df_id=4800&4800.donation=form1&idb=0) to their International Site's drive for Nepal.
We have given to several of those listed here.
There are other drives I have listed elsewhere, but Believer-ji, you bring up a very good point. I am not certain in all cases of their backing or any underlying intent, so I won't offer them here. Perhaps until I am sure of them, I should remove them from other places I've posted them...
