Can any one please tell me the origin an meaning of the shloka that my father used to chant, as follows:

atmabat paradaresu, paradabyesu lostrobat; atmabat sarbabhutesu (...) sansthita.

I only vaguely remember it and would like to know where to look for it. I have tried googling it but was not successful.

Thank you for your kindness.

I think the main problem is the transliteration … b and v … always confusing.

atmabat paradaresu, paradabyesu lostrobat; atmabat sarbabhutesu (...) sansthita.
matrvat paradaresu paradravyesu lostravat atmavat sarvabhutesu yah pasyati sa panditah.

I have been advised, as follows:

I am seeking explanation of the mantra मातृवत् परदारेषु परद्रव्येषु लोष्टवत् ।
आत्मवत् सर्वभूतेषु यः पश्यति स पण्डितः ॥

it is from hitopadesh
Meaning He is a pandit who sees the wives of others as his mother, the wealth of others like clod of earth or clay and all beings as his own self.
Saroj Kanta Das
A verse in the Gita says,
विद्याविनयसम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि |
शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिता: समदर्शिन: ||
The truly learned, with the eyes of divine knowledge, see with equal vision a Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater.
