Hello Hindu dharma forums,
I am conducting an investigation into the kalava/kautuku bracelet, and was wondering if anyone here was willing to answer questions I had towards it. When I asked a member of a Hindu temple about the kautuku bracelet, they informed me that Sri Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita, that without any ritual you can still connect with god with good action and thought. Does anyone know where I can find that specific text? This would help me alot.

Hello

BG chapters 2 - 5 explain SAnkhya (spirit and matter) and karma yog - you have the right to action, but not the results, and what should be the mindset towards one's duties and calling.

Karma Yoga results in balance and peace of mind due to expectation-less behavior. This equanimous state is by itself a connection to God.

More direct - is BG chapter 12 - all shlokas. Then, chapter 9.22, 9.26,27, 18 - BG 18.65, 18.66 and the verses BG13.8 to 13.12

12.1-8 - how, 12.12+ - what. ,,,such a devotee is very dear to Me

BG 18.65 manmanA bhava mad bhakto madyaji mAm namaskuru |

mAm evaisyasi satyam te pratijAne priyo 'si me ||

Always think of Me, be My devotee, worship Me, pay respects and bow to Me
This way you will come to Me. I promise you this as true, because you are dear to Me.

BG 9.22

Those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on Me -to them I carry what they lack and preserve what they have.

BG9,26 patram pushpam phalam toyamyo me bhaktya prayacchati
tad aham bhakty-upahrtam

If one offers Me with love and devotion a leaf, a flower, fruit a water, I will accept it.

BG9,27 yat karosi yad asnAsi
yaj juhosi dadasi yat
yat tapasyasi kaunteya
tat kurushva mad-arpaNam

O son of Kunti, all that you do, all that you eat, all that you offer and give away, as well as all austerities that you may perform, should be done as an offering unto Me.

BG18.66 sarva-dharman parityajyamAm ekam sharaNam vraja

Abandon all varieties of dharma and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear.
