Uploading pictures - Little Success!

Namaste,
for those more technologically astute then me, I Cannot seem to upload a picture to use as a post.... it's not due to size, as I do not even get that far! I CAN do this for my own personal profile, yet not for a HDF Post like the one I am in now. I also tried a 'cut 'n paste' to no avail.

When I hit the Icon above for entering in the image, it asks for a URL
and an http/: location. My images are on my hard drive.

Can someone give me a cook book instruction, that is , step-by-step, to accomplish this task?

Below the box where I am posting this reply is a section called "Additional Options". The second section in that is called "Attach Files". Click on the button called "Manage Attachments".

A popup box will come up ... hit one of the "Browse" buttons to locate your file on disk. I use XP, so I double click on the image, that brings the file name into the appropriate location. Then click the "Upload" button, and close the window.

I don't know about this version of VB but on some if you preview your post, you lose the attachment.
