Namaste
The Spring Equinox occurs on 20th of March at 5:48 UTC¹ time. This UTC used to be called GMT or Greenwich Mean Time. At this time the Sun will be at 6º 01' 52.10" Pisces, in the Nakshatra of UttaraBhadra - the 1st pada ( of 4 padas per nakshatra).

Each year this point moves backwards in the zodiac due the natural phenomenon called the precession of the equinoxes. So next year the Equinox occurs on 20th of March at 11:44 UTC , and the sun's position will be 6º 00' 59.31".
And each year this precession occurs the sun's point moves backwards though all the signs (rasi) in the zodiac (rAshichakra). A full trip takes ~ between 25,800 to 26,000 years to complete.

This precession is due to the earths wobble i.e. the earth is out-of-round, not a perfect circle, so it wobbles like a top. Yet this design is brilliant as far as I can tell. Change is perpetual, and this out-of-roundness contributes to the total change package for earth.

This movement each year (backwards) is measured as 00º 00' 50.23" or 00º 00' 50.24" and some people use 00' 50.26".
The implication to this movement is our pole star changes over long periods of time, yet comes back to Polaris over the total cycle.
