hello everyone,
am new here in this forum.
i would like to know if it is absolutely OK to chant Mrityunjaya Mantra for a normal person (not so pious).

is there any restriction?

is it true that people suffering from ill effects of 7.5 shanee period should chant this manthra?

apart from avoiding death, can constant chants of this manthra yields prosperity, happiness and other good benefits in a persons life?

please advise.thanks in advance.

Traditionally Vedic mantras are not meant for general use, one has to get due diksha first. Moreover, Vedic mantras require the knowledge of proper pronunciation.
So, I wouldn't recommend U to chant Vedic Gayatri, Mrityunjaya and alike mantras.
There is Shiva-panchakshari which can be chanted by everyone irrespective of nationality, age, sex and qualification. NamaH shivAya!
