hi im going to get married in the hindu tradition soon , we were catholics ( me and my wife ) , but we change our beliefs about 3 years ago and we are practising hindus , this is the question since we live in tijuana mexico , 90 per cent of our guest are mexicans and they eat meat , since we are going to have the ceremony and the reception in the same place , we are going to have a buffet for our guest but since none of them are vegetarians , well we do not want to serve a vegetarian food because they wont eat it , any problems serving meat ? please i wilappreciate your coments

Namaste Shangopriest,
any problems serving meat ?
No. Please enjoy your party & let the guests have food of their liking. Being a vegetarian is no precondition for being a Hindu but Hindus don't eat beef as cow is considered sacred by the Hindus.

Namaste,
You can try to slip in a few Tofu based items.
Congradulations on the marriage.
Om Shanti

Cnogratulations Shangu and wish you a happy married life. It is first preference to serve your customers and visiters because in hinduism, visitors are considered as gods. So you should always keep your guests happy.
