Now the West has 'invented and copyrighted' the ancient Indian practice of 'dorbiH karaNam (toppu karaNam)' as 'superbrain yoga'!!
Hindu legends say that once Ganesha as a boy seized VishNu's 'chakrAyudha' and put it in his mouth! Since the boy was not yielding to his entreaties to give it back, VishNu did many 'dorbiH karaNams' which made Ganapati laugh and spit out the chakra!
Hindus do regularly the superbrain yoga of 'dorbiH karaNams', preceded by the yoga of tapping five times at the temples with the knuckles when they are in the presence of Lord Ganesha for worshipping him. In those days, dull and errant young children were made to do 'dorbiH karaNams' as punishment in schools to improve their performance/regulate them.
