When my wife and I became vegetarian, it was due to association with ISKCON, so we stopped eating eggs along with meat. Even though I am no longer a Gaudiya Vaishnava, we still don't eat eggs. While I totally hate boiled or fried eggs (I find them disgusting), I used to eat eggs in cakes and all the other things that include eggs, which in Malaysia includes roti canai, a type of flat bread eaten with curry.
Do those of you who are vegetarian still eat eggs? I know that ISKCON prohibits them, and Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami says that they are bad as well, but do those of you who are Hindus but not Gaudiya Vaishnavas or followers of Subramuniyaswami eat eggs? Do most Indian vegetarians eat eggs or not?
