Pranam,
Is Hinduism taught in public schools in India? Or is it strictly the parents responsibility to teach the children their beliefs? How does one determine which God to worship?

Namaskar,
As far as I know, Hinduism is NOT taught in public schools in India unless of course the school is an Arya Smaj school. Children learn it at home.

I am afraid one does not 'determine' which God to worship. It is the God who determines.

What is known as publuc elsewhere is called Govt. school in India. Any such school or any other funded by govt CANNOT teach religious education.

Private schools, known as public, can give religious education. But legally, it cannot be compulsory.
