today is Birthday of Skandha Kumara or Vedha / Skandha Dharmapala in Buddhist version

He know as soon of Mahesvara and Uma Maharajni, brother of Vinayaka Mahanadikesvara Devaraja in Mahayana Buddhist Scripture

He know with Mayura crown in Buddhist, is the Pati among Heaven Soldier
He also have a swift power to fly and move

the praises is :

Namo = refuge or Glory to...

Weituo = Veda

Zuntian = Mahadeva

Pusa = Bodhisattva

or

Weituo = Veda

Jiangjun = General of armys

so wonderfull

this Deva is very familiar in Chinesse, and Chinesse Buddhism very respect to Him.
so many India culture is use in China, many Chinesse tradition and ancient knowledge is from India

do you see the image of Skandha Bodhisattva ?

very close to Murugan

the original is like Murugan

but come to China He become wear Chinesse general armour

just like Avalokitesvara, originaly is wear like India prince, but in China He wear chinesse robe

I've heard that Ganesha is more apparent in Buddhism than Murugan is. I'm sure a quick google would get some hits. We have Buddhists coming to our temple here sometimes.

Yes sherab i know of this but I was wondering specifically in japanese buddhism because through the spread of teachings there is mix and matches and some leave some of the teachings out etc...
