View Full Version : Drink milk, experience Brahman!

If milk is an excellent source by itself, to keep you going forever, with no negatives associated, then why churn it, separate it, change its state of matter, make custards, yogurts, ghee, butter, curd, lassi, cheese and other foodstuffs, refrigerate it , waste your time, and yet not, in your lifetime, drink milk ?

If experiencing Brahman is the ultimate aim of all your being, if that aim remains the answer to all your being, why then goes against it, divide, separate it to Vedas, Vedantas, mantras, tantras, sastras, tatwas… and yet not identify the Essential Reality?

The object of all sastras, or the dissemination of spiritual knowledge, lead to the knowledge of one eternal Brahman. Try comprehending this One, and you effortlessly know all of them. It is futile comprehending anything else except for this one.

We may be successful to access, search and find what we need from the sastras. But, when the one you search for, exists in you, why do you attempt for the sastras and get attached to it completely?

Its accepted that planets exist in aakaaza (ether). As human perception of the dimension and condition of this aakaaza is similar to a futile pursuit of infinity and further as the pursuits of infinity lies beyond one’s realm of contemplation, all religions recommend the quest of this universe, its profundity, or in other words, the supreme truth of the quest of God.
Think further. We know the universe exist in God. But, does that simply imply that anything with close perfection or similarity to God, to God’s grace and glory and dimension can be located within this universe? Certainly not. We fail to even figure out something and boldly proclaim_”Look, this is God”.

For no reason have the texts with absolute and exclusive paramountcy , the elaborate scholastic branch of sastras– the Vedas- created in the minds of those seekers, one form, in its sukSma or many forms in sthuula, identical to God. The ones who systematically or consistently meditate upon that form, identify and attains the perfect philosophy of all- the Brahman. He enjoys the ultimate bliss; joyfully exists in the supreme philosophy “aham brahmasmi”.

Mostly all Sastras are highly poetic in form. With slight variations in diction, with no material change in content, Sri Sankara(Adi Sri Sankara BhagavadPadar) codified it in the form of prose in 7th centruy, to bring it down to the non-Sanadhana worshippers. This benefited them richly to comprehend the existence of Brahman. On close examination, its understood that Sri Sankara’s intiative was part of the efforts to imbibe the importance, improvise, and ensure the restoration of the same Sanatana Dharma(over the major religions during his period).

Inorder to attain perfection, the one who observe it need to chant it( the sastras), and gain potency.
Whereas, one is doomed to the condition of sthula from sukshma, when he dissects it to create exhaustive grammar, literature, or tatwa-sastra, neglecting the purpose of it. In other words, he collapses(gets attached to the knower in himself- its again a bandhana) into the material world, totally neglecting the spiritual phase of life.

Chant, recite the sastras in poetic form, work it out, and experience the karaNa, and the supreme objectives of artha from the Ultimate (Ultimate: That is You, not the Books)

Hello everyone. My name is Bhaktajan, and I am a bonefide milk-aholic.

Drink milk, experience Brahman!
Drink milk, experience Brahman!
Drink milk, experience Brahman!

So this was what I have been experiencing all this time!
I never put it into words --but here you did it!
It is such a sublime 'Message'
---it should be an underground/grassroots slogan/chant/mantra/watch-word.

Drink milk, experience Brahman!

Thanks again Brahman.

So, for the ones who observe sastras, you recommend chanting it. But when it comes to working it out, does not that imply an understanding of the “meaning” too?

Orelse wont that simply remain ineffective , similar to someone who , not concerned about the meaning at all, recite profoundly beautiful verses expressed by some of our great poets:–

“Before the end of my journey
may I reach within myself
the one which is the all,
leaving the outer shell
to float away with the drifting multitude
upon the current of chance and change.”

So, lead me further….

The great Rishis who disseminated these sastras were inspired souls , who enjoyed the highest levels of concentrated meditation or Samadhi . In other words, they were maintaining Uttama Pranayama Gathi. The revelations in the form of ‘sruti” that strikes their inner concsiouenss, passes onto the sishyas in perfect fidelity, or as rhyming words.
The sishyas further codify to lipi.
Those Rishis are undoubtedly Brahman itself.

One needs to recite the verses rhythmically in entire dedication and faith upon Brahman to attain the desired meaning of the scriptures compiled by them.

Thanks, it was an unusual work you presented. I owed this Sunday to Govindashtakam.

I listened to it, listened to it again and again, many more times…………..Each repeated listening unfolded all the words I had always admired to hear in spiritual discipline.

My initial approach was simply a hazy one, but when the 2nd or third listening ended, I was able to hear more than my ears could do.

In my first earnest contact with Sanskrit reading, the voice and style and meaning of Govindashtakam slowly became beautifully explanatory.

How I succeeded was by trying to read it while listening to it . A powerfully conceived work, this remained fresh in mind, to be blossomed again in meditation.

In the evening, at meditation time, the voice that I felt related to mantras in the morning attuned my soul, for I could recite it without even listening or reading.

Beautiful work and similar posts make them known, for people like me who are liable to overlook them.

Let me once again quote what you noted in this post:

“One needs to recite the verses rhythmically in entire dedication and faith upon Brahman to attain the desired meaning of the scriptures compiled by them.”
