The mighty souls

This is very necessary to know about eternal mighty pauranik characters .Two characters are well known to everybody 1. Hanuman and 2. Bhishma .
1. Bhishma…
Vasu are 8 in nos. One day vasu insulted to a rishi and rishi cursed them to go to mrittyuloka .This was a bad chance and vasus requested the Ganga to be their mother, and ganga accepted it. Then they told the story to ganga and this was unpleasant to ganga , that they soon want to come heaven so kindly to kill them after the birth .
Ganga in form of a pretty woman was married to King shantanu, with a condition that Shantanu will never stop ganga for any work and that was unbearable to Shantanu as ganga swept away all 7 vasus one by one. Lastly eighth vasu named as Bhishma was stopped by shantanu not to be killed by Ganga .
At Mahabharat war Bhishma was the first commander and he killed half of the Pandvas army in one day. The next day he announced that he will break the Krsn promise , not to hold the arms and the war was so terrible that to save Arjun, Krsn had to rush with wheel of charriot in hand to kill bhishm and Bhisma was down on the feet of krsn, the war was over that day .
Krsn plotted to kill Bhishma and sent Arjun in the camp of Bhism at night to ask as how Bhishma can be killed . Not to surprise , bhishma told that nobody can kill him , while he is holding the arms in hands , but if some lady comes in front he will stop the fighting.
This was enogh for clever krsn and it was Shikhandi , who was put in front next day and Bhishma put his arms aside , krsn then ordered Arjun to kill bhishma and bhishma was wounded .
Bhishma left his body when mahabharat was over and Yudhishter was proven king and at the heaven time as told in gita .

2. Hanuman…
A devaputri [ daughter of a Devata ] once criticized a rishi and was cursed to become a monkey. It was a bad taste but she became the monkey and was down to mrittyuloka .
One day she was standing over a place on a hill, suddenly the Vayu touched her , she scolded that as who was it . The vayu begged a pardon and the position was such that this monkey named Anjani was in love with a male monkey named Keshary .
The devatas requested lord Shankar to help bhagwan Rama to kill demon Ravna and told the story of Anjani to lord Shankara . Lors shankara then blessed anjani for a brave son .
The son was Hanuman , very powerful with the blessings of Vayu and Shankar.He was taken to heaven by Indra for many other enormous powers and was there for much time till Lord Rama appeared in tretayug . Atharvaveda describes the Vrashakapi as Hanuman.
After the Rama Ravna yudh Hanuman was standing near mata Sita . Sita told rama that you have given the kingdom to Sugriva , to Vibhishan , but you have given nothing to Hanuman . Rama asked hanuman to demand anything he wanted. Adhyatmaramayan says…
Yawat sthapyati te nam loke tat kalewaram.
Means prabhu where there is Ramnam , there should be Hanuman present and this is the time , that where there is Ramnam , the chiranjeevi Hanuman is there.

Muni Vedvyas son of Parasher muni is known to everybody as he arranged the one Veda to three Vedas eg Rig, Sam and Yaj . He was very kind to the mankind and wanted to let the interpretation know everybody .He also was keen to teach the lesson of Mahabharat to all .
Task was difficult so he prayed Lord Ganesha and lord were agreed with condition to write that he will not proceed without understanding the meaning of the shloka vyasji dictates . Vyasji was intelligent enough as the people today are . He dictated the Arjun Vishad Yoga as the first chapter and took the leave for a instance from Ganesha . Ganesha was worried to solve and the gita was written . So Shrimadbhagwadgita is interpretation of Vedas and an Upanishad . Some shlokas at last are dictated by Vyasji .
