Dear All,

Maybe the following quaestions is hard and may take you few hours, but i was wondering if someone from forum can translate word by word of Ganesh Ji Ki Aarati? It's ok if you just translate only few words, but as originali as can be (if you know what i mean) :).

Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Devaa
Maataa Jaaki Paarvati Pitaa Mahaadevaa

Ek Danta Dayaavant Chaar bhujaadhari
Mastak Sindoor Sohe Muse Ki Savaari

Paan Chadhe Phool Chadhe
Aur Chadhe Mevaa
Maataa Jaaki Parvaati Pitaa Mahaadevaa

Andhan Ko Aankh Det Kodhin Ko Kaayaa
Baanjhan Ko Putra Det Nirdhan Ko Maayaa

Ladduan Ko Bhog Laage Sant Kare Sevaa
Mata Jaaki Paarvati Pita Mahaadevaa

Deenan Ki Laaj Rakho Shambhu Stuvaari
Kaamanaa Ko Puraa Karo Jaaun Balihaari

Haar Chadhe Phool Chadhe
Aur Chadhe Mevaa
Maataa Jaaki Paarvati Pitaa Mahaadevaa

In hope for an answer i salute you all,
All the best to all of you,
Dani

Namaste Dani,

I will try it for you :

Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Devaa
Maataa Jaaki Paarvati Pitaa Mahaadevaa

I salute Lord Ganesha whose father is Lord Shiva & mother is Paarvati.

Ek Danta Dayaavant Chaar bhujaadhari
Mastak Sindoor Sohe Muse Ki Savaari

The merciful (God) has one tooth & has four hands. He has vermilion on his forehead & he rides a mouse.

Paan Chadhe Phool Chadhe
Aur Chadhe Mevaa
Maataa Jaaki Parvaati Pitaa Mahaadevaa

(Devotees) offer him betel leaves, flowers & dry fruits. His father is Lord Shiva and mother Paarvati.

Andhan Ko Aankh Det Kodhin Ko Kaayaa
Baanjhan Ko Putra Det Nirdhan Ko Maayaa

He gives eyes to the blind & a healthy body to the lepers. He gives sons to the barren women & wealth to the poor.

Ladduan Ko Bhog Laage Sant Kare Sevaa
Mata Jaaki Paarvati Pita Mahaadevaa

(Devotees) offer him laddoos ( a sweatmeat) & the saints offer their services to him. His father is Lord Shiva & mother Parvati.

Deenan Ki Laaj Rakho Shambhu Stuvaari
Kaamanaa Ko Puraa Karo Jaaun Balihaari

Save the prestige of the poor, O Lord Shiva's "son" ( sorry, I have problem in translating the word, "Stuvaari"). Fulfil my desires, I love you very much.

Haar Chadhe Phool Chadhe
Aur Chadhe Mevaa
Maataa Jaaki Paarvati Pitaa Mahaadevaa

(Devotees) offer him garlands & flowers and dry fruits. His mother is Paarvati & father Lord Shiva.
