Muneeswarar is a South Indian God. He is generally thought to be a form of Lord Shiva. You can read about him on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muneeswarar) (I took the photo of the Muneeswarar Deity on there).

The worship of Lord Muneeswarar is widespread amongst Malaysian Hindus, since most of them originate from South India. Unlike most of the South Indian Deities, which are carved from black granite with hard to see features, Lord Muneeswarar's Deity is painted. His weapon is the trident, which is often seen in His temple, placed in the ground with three limes on the prongs. He is often worshipped with two other South Indian Gods - Madurai Veeran (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madurai_Veeran_%28Hinduism%29) and Karuppu Sami (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karuppu_Sami), both of whom are worshipped with animal sacrifices. I don't know if Muneeswarar is worshipped with animal sacrifices or not - perhaps Kshama could shed some light on this.
