It's unfortunate that this article mostly cites cases of people who were convicted under dubious circumstances. Seems a bit biased, in my opinion.

I didn't notice that it was a Christian publication, thanks for pointing this out. Assuming the statistics at least are accurate, it's not surprising that Christianity is growing among the prison population. Christianity is also popular in American prisons. What's not to love about a religion that offers instant absolution from past sins without any action on the part of the offender? I'd be more interested to see how Christianity fares with middle class Nepalis. This might be a better indicator of Christian missionary effectiveness among Nepali Hindus.
