namaskar,

I am wondering if there is a special puja or yagya one can get performed by a priest(s) for the well being, health and long life of one's parents.

Satay: I searched a bit. A lot of the sites were Buddhist, interestingly enough.

This one .. http://www.kamalkapoor.com/puja/ayusha_homam.asp

wasn't. Hopefully it can give you ideas. We have one Maharashtran family here who sponsor homa (havan) quite regularly. Perhaps this is why. Homa sponsorship on a monthly basis could be quite a chunk of change. You can do it at home, I suppose.

Thanks Eastern.
Obviously, I can ask the priests of our two temples too but wanted to find out if a member knew about some specific puja for this. If there is one, my mom probably knows about it but I don't want to ask her. Want to keep it a surprise...

Apply this to the limbs of you loved ones:

or

2] Narayana kavacha as found in the bhagavata-purana

pranam bhaktajan,

Thanks for this. How would I get this done? Does a priest have to do this or can anyone recite the kavacha with the loved ones in mind? Do you know?

Thanks for your help!

Officially I don't know.

But it seems Okay to do oneself [because of urgency].

But I sure you'd like best done by a priest.
