Kumbakonam is a popular tourist town, 300 km south of Chennai in South India. This southern semi-urban town, engulfed in Temples, is famous for tourism activities. This is a town where traditional arts and trade still flourish to a large extent. So many musical gaints are born and lived in kumbakonam. Today also we heard the musical vibration in and around kumbaoknam.

I'm going to be there in about a year during arupadaveedu pilgrimage. Am looking for a smaller black Granite Ganesha. Any suggestions for carving shops? Please PM me if you have any.
