I think there really could be legitimate religious sightings in Hinduism. I just don't know of any, or any that I believe in. For example, the flower resembling Lord Ganesha does look a little like the Lord, but I don't think that is a divine manifestation or anything. I usually think so-called religious sightings are just coincidences (albeit really cool coincidences, like Jesus on the slice of toast!).
