Namaste

Are you refering to Sustainable Agriculture ? That's very much what Vedic Civilization was about, acc. to A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami PrabhupAd.

He asked his disciples to build cow-protection farms and work towards sustainable agriculture, hard as that is in today's infrastructure.

Here is a very good website by a devotee :
http://www.biodynamictheology.com/

He is so thorough. The first link on left is about CSA farms - Community Supported Agriculture.

This is a good point you have raised

Namaste,

Here is some solid reference on Sustainable Development (of civilizations ?)
in the Rg Veda , via cow protection and agriculture -

http://www.hindudharmaforums.com/showthread.php?t=5359
(First post is Rg Veda , followed by quotes from Mahatma Gandhi)

Thank You Brahman.

Guess who the "resplendant Lord" is , mentioned in the Rg , to whom the milk , ghee is offered ? Yadnya (Yajna) viz. Vishnu viz. Shri Krshna viz. Brahman' . The provider of everything that IS to everything that IS.

Jai Shri Krshna
