I was browsing through some old Hindu magazines from Malaysia, and I saw a picture of the following Goddess:

http://lh4.ggpht.com/_6EGjAQ-bw7o/S4Mn3mzGZzI/AAAAAAAACbs/tueeXT87S2Q/s400/Goddess.jpg

I thought at first that it was Saraswati, because of the swan, but then I saw the other faces and arms holding different things.

Can anyone help me out on this?

Namaste Scott,

IMO, this picture is of MahaaSarasvati. You see, she has her vehicle ... the Swan & she also carries books in her hand. However, she has been shown with her other forms visible too. As we know that the Mother Goddess is one alone & she is worshiped by various names and forms by devotees. Here, her main form is that of Sarasvati but she shows her other forms too.

I thought it could be GAyatrI DevI, checked with the google image search typing gayatri, and found it to be so.

Here is the link to this beautiful picture:

You are right Saidevoji. This picture is of GAyatri DevI. I think this picture is modified form of that drawn by Raja Ravi Verma.

Thanks very much. I think it is Gayatri Devi.

What about this Goddess?

I know that it is a form of Devi, but I'm not sure which one. I don't know if it's Lalita, or Raja Rajeswary, or another form that I've never heard of.

namaste SM.

The name of the Goddess is given as MahA Shakti in this link, where the picture resembles what you have given:

It seems that this is another name for AdiParAShakti, the Universal Mother, as this link indicates:

The picture of MahaSarasvati is so beautiful, and so is the picture of Santhosi Mata.
