Of course we have to take each issue Mr. Zed raises separately. I agree with him on this one, and he isn't the only one complaining, although its been 6 years or so. Here is a link to the New York Times story on the issue itself. Perhaps Mahahrada, you can give us a better perspective as you lives there. I'm sure there are two sides.

Another mistreatment of Hindus is in Sri Lanka still, where the Sri Lankan government wouldn't allow the UN to go in and investigate the allegation of war crimes on both sides. So now it seems that unless the UN wants to go in with force (very very unlikely) there will be no investigation at all. Well, the SL government is 'investigating' themselves, but that is ludicrous.

Dear EM
I do not know much about that only that the german government took a lot of refugees into the country because of the war in Kosovo, that they cared for and who lived on social welfare and now some or all of them are repatriated into their home countries and helped to settle there, there are also a lot of roma coming in on tourists visa from romania and just stay, i guess at the moment the goverment doesn´t know what to do with all the roma, they cannot take in and care for all the roma from all over eastern europe that want to come into Germany on tourist visa or have been granted refuge status, and keep them forever as permanent residents. All over europe goverments and society have a lot of problems with Roma and don´t know how to handle it. There is tendency among leftists to deny the problems and racists as usual exaggerate. I think it is very hard to really know whats going on. I think it should be o.k. to repatriate people that have been refugees when the danger is over and they can safely return to their homecountry. I do have very little trust in the media and cannot tell what is really going on,the media tend to play down negative experiences to avoid racism, but certainly not all roma are nice and friendly and there is some drug dealing, aggressive begging intimidations etc. going on. Which is of course, no wonder because the exodus of roma is often caused by poverty and not always their own choice, since criminal organisations misuse the roma by human trafficking and employ them for forced begging, child labour, prostitution and other street crime. That means together with the roma the criminal gangs, their misusers also enter the country. But all that puts a lot of extra pressure on the goverments to ease some of the problematic issues by preparing some housing to at least get the refugees back to Kosovo. But to do so much as even mention publicly that there are integration problems with the roma would be depicted as bigotry and racism. Thats why media and politicans handle the matter silent, there is not a single report in the german mainstream media about that issue at all.

Thanks for that. I find it interesting how the governments everywhere under-report or pretend things don't exist. Here with our treatment of aboriginals it is th esame. You might get a reprot from Europe from Amnesty International, but not one from here. Problems like this are always complicated, and it is good to know there is more than one version to the story.

Dear EM,
Yes you are right, In my opinion while the mass media tell us what to think and feel they do not provide us with enough information to make up our own mind. Concerning the deportations i can not make out if it is really only an offer to the refugees to return to Kosovo if they wish so, and no one is forced, but only a lot of so called "incentives" i guess these are housing and other start up help, probably also cash are offered to those that are willing to resettle in Kosovo, like the government says, or that people are gathered py police early in the morning forced to sign a paper that their departure is voluntary and then driven to the airport, like some people claim, or probably both is true and law enforcement sometimes acts in an grey area or illegal way if confronted with dangerous gang members.
How useful the whole thing is, is another question since a large percentage of those people that cause the most problems will take the incentives but most likely will be funneled back into the wealthier european countries by the criminal gangs and again be deployed in atm theft, forced begging and street prostitution, drug dealing etc. as before, the only difference is that the social welfare system is not milked anymore.

This article i link to below, seems to describe the situation quite welll, but you never really hear a clear statement whether people are somehow forced to return or at the moment entirely go voluntarily, and if threat of forcíble deportation will be applied later on.

The involvement and vulnerability of the community in regard to the powerful armend and dangerous gangs and human trafficking isn´t mentioned at all but it is certainly part of the reason that the goverment hesitates to make the return entirely voluntary for everyone, but want to retain the possibility to employ force in the future.

Germany is a very small already overcrowded country and we do not even have the capaciy to jail all offenders even if the law would allow that, which it doesnt, since the underaged are deliberately employed for the crimes, because they cannot at all be punished according to the german law.

If S.Paris spokesperson of the Ministry says: "Let me emphasize that the accord only affects people who have already been told that they don't qualify for any form of long-term or permanent residence status," i interpret this to mean, "sub rosa" that they take care to suggest resettling only to those that do not want to integrate into the society and abide by its laws.

I personally do not envy politicians for their job, we live in a time of complex problems and shadow goverments ruled by organized criminal gangs and terrorist jihadis exist, and it is certainly hard to make the right decisions and avoid communal conflicts and immigrant violence, the breakdown of the social welfare and financial system, riots or even danger of civil war in europe.
