Greetings all,

When Bhasham Pitamah was lying on his death bed waiting for the right time to leave his earthly body, Lord Krishan along with Pandavs came to see him. During their conversations, Lord Krishan cajoled him to enlighten Pandavs with the art of governing. After some hesitation, Bhisham Pitamah did deliver a long speech based on his lifetime of experience, about how to conduct the affairs of the state and to be a good ruler. The speech concluded with his wishing and praying that Bharat would have abundance of everything. I have been looking for a text of this speech for some time without any luck. Does anyone here know where I could get text of this page of the Mahabharat?

Thanks.

Dear Believer,

Yes. Chapters LVI to CLXXIII of Shanti Parva of Mahabhatrata contain the instructions (in form of anecdotes) of Bhishma pitamaha to Yudhishthira. If you are interested then you can read Mahabharata translation online.

Here is the Link to Shanti Parva of Mahabharata.

http://www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m12/index.htm

You can begin your reading from chapter LVI and continue till CLXXIII
