The human form is known to be the king of all species. Only some fortunate ones get it. It is the time to meet the Lord. In it, we should follow that path in it by which we may get the Lord. We have been separated from the Lord since ages.

On the other hand we have kept ourselves indulged in devotion since inception but the cycle of birth and death has not ceased yet.

Reasons being that we have not got the right path.

If think so, can you throw some Light on the Reasons ?

Hoping soon for the results your forum member _/\_Jasdir.

We choose it ourselves. These lines says a lot:

Mundaka Upanishad

3.2.2 He who, cherishing objects, desires them, is born again here or there through his desires, But for him whose desires are satisfied and who is established in the Self, all desires vanish even here on earth.
3.2.3 This Atman cannot be attained through study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Atman - by him alone is Atman attained. It is Atman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature.
3.2.4 This Atman cannot be attained by one who is without strength or earnestness or who is without knowledge accompanied by renunciation. But if a wise man strives by means of these aids, his soul enters the Abode of Brahman.

Piece of cake ;)

Lets see where this topic heads before I engage more...

Dear Friend,
The question you have put forward is very clearly answered in the Bhagavad Gita...Please find the Gita references with some explanation.
"Whatever you do, whatever you eat, whatever you offer or give away, and whatever austerities you perform—do that, as an offering to Me." [Sri Krishna says in 9th Chapter, 27th verse]

The Parabramha[Ultimate Supreme Soul] swaroopi[form] Sri Maha Vishnu tells us whatever work we do...whatever duties we perform...whatever deeds we do everyday....whatever food we eat daily...whatever we offer into the yagna...whatever we offer to Gods, temples, etc...whatever we do as daana[charity]...whatever we do as the tapas[mind, body and speech]...whatever this human body does, one must do it as a humble offering to Him...sarwam Sri Krishnaarpanam astu...everything that we are compelled to do due to the duties prescribed for us, everything we talk about, everything we think about, everything we experience using this body and senses, everything our mind, intellect, antharatma makes us do...everything this prakruthi[cosmic world] in which we exist makes us do...everything must be offered to Him alone....

again please note this offering is "not done because He needs them" from us, but this offering is done because

"In this way you will be freed from bondage to work and its auspicious and inauspicious results. With your mind fixed on Me in this principle of renunciation from materialistic results, you will be liberated and come to Me."[Sri Krishna says in 9th Chapter, 28th verse]

We need to offer everything to Him only because by doing so, we can free ourselves from the results of whatever deed we have performed....this is such an important part which needs complete understanding....when we talk about life, the good and the bad deeds, the results, the materialistic happiness and the sadness associated with the results, the compulsion for everyone to enjoy or suffer the results of our deeds...the way people enjoy the happiness..the way people suffer...when all of these things are put together, one is "bound" by the result oriented life...one is completely bound by everything infinitely...this is because as one cannot live without performing any activity, one always performs some or the other activity, but at the same time if one performs any activity, one is then automatically bound to the results of the activity...and as one is bound by the result, one has to take birth again to either enjoy or suffer the results of the previous activities....and while either enjoying or suffering, one again will be doing some activity, thus falling back again to cycle of life and death....
We as human beings, when we take birth, as a child who has just come out of the mothers womb, we don't have any idea about who we are...more importantly a child does not even know that a question "who am i" even exists...the jeevaatma which is composed of the antaratma[intellect, mind, chitta, aham], the five sense organs and the Aatma enter the physical materialistic body by His grace,... when the child's physical body is being developed inside the mothers womb...., the womb itself becomes the prakruthi to it as its enclosed inside the womb...the mother who carries the child is the actual kartha or the doer on behalf of the child as the child is completely dependent on her, and hence the mother is considered also as a God to the child....only the involuntary actions like digestion, breathing, etc take place within the child to make sure it stays alive...the child is unable to do anything by its own, other than making small movements....and hence while in the womb, the child does not do any activity by "itself"....

as soon as the child comes out of the womb by His grace, then the jivaatma along with the materialistic physical body, slowly starts to realise the prakruthi outside the mothers warm womb....the sense organs and the actuators with the help of some pre programmed reactions present in the mind(like crying, seeing, hearing, moving the parts, drinking, eating) starts to function....a child when it was inside the womb, even though the condition was warm and congested, it never cries..it does not react.....where as once its out in the real prakruthi it feels everything...it cries..it laughs...and slowly step by step the prakruthi(including the parents, society) first try to give an identity to the child...usually a name is used as an identity...the child uses the sense of hearing and tries to react when its name is being recursively called by everyone....at this point again the child still does not have an identity understood by it....

now all of this is being done by the intellect and the mind.....the chitha[wish/consciousness] and the aham[identity] have not yet come into picture...the child's mind and intellect unaware of its materialistic identity and without chitha, actually does everything as a nishkaama karmi...meaning it never depends on results because "it does not even know about its identity" and hence the term "i" does not even exist and when "i" does not exist, so does the the phrase "i enjoy" does not exist... a child eats whatever it is fed, a child sleeps whenever it feels like sleeping, but never laments or enjoys upon eating or sleeping....
At the very beginning every child must be taught that its with Him one should associate the self, but again on the contrary, every single child is taught that this physical body is the permanent identity....when the child starts to understand this identity, the term aham starts to lay its foundation...slowly the child starts to think for itself......once it understands the term "i", slowly chitta starts to develop....thus that child for the very first time starts to "plan" something for "itself"(thus combining the chitha and aham to drive the mind towards the sense gratification...the foolish society in which we live slowly makes sure that both aham and chitha are nourished properly in every child..."aham which needs to be maintained as only "Identity" is wrongly seen as "Personality".."the intellect and knowledge are suppressed....by the time a child starts to talk, it would have already familiarised itself with the terms "like" and "dislike"(powered by its mind controlled by aham, chitta and senses)...it tries to avoid anything it does not like by crying and it tries to grab everything it likes even if avoided by elders...when the child grows to a certain age of 6-7 years, if the child is not taught of proper dharma, then starts the downfall of yet another janma(until the enlightenment occurs)....

the society teaches the child all the bad and unwanted things like competition, success, failure, result oriented approach, favouritism, hate, love, greed, lust etc....every child right from the beginning is taught that the temporary materialistic life is the real thing and enjoying this life is the purpose of the term life....success must be obtained by everyone or else they fall down in the society...such baseless concepts are deeply sown in each and everyone....and when the result oriented concept of life is so deeply implanted, every child happily starts to get itself trapped in the results of its work...everyone works because there is a result associated with it..everyone does everything because there is always result associated...everyone start to desire the success associated with the result....when success is obtained greed starts and in case of failure frustration, hate and anger...and with all these results bound all around us we make sure we come back into this cycle again and again....when some unexpected good happens people give credit to "luck" and on unexpected bad event they scold Him....how easily they forget that they are enjoying or suffering the results of their previous deeds....how easily have they forgotten that its this result oriented approach which is the cause of both auspicious and inauspicious things...how they even forget that they are still here because in the previous birth they were result oriented and are only now enjoying or suffering those results....

what everyone forgets is the real fact that this materialistic world is indeed temporary...the results oriented approach indeed is the actual maya[illusion] as it pulls everyone back to the cycle...people bind themselves by the results...and then they credit themselves when they enjoy and lament and wonder when they suffer.......if at all one wants to reach Him one must give up the results...and hence Sri Krishna says offer everything to Him so that we are freed from the result oriented approach...offer everything to Him so that we can be "freed" from this "materialistic bonding"....so that once we are free"muktha" from the results, we can attain Him very easily....

Please do let me know if this answers your question...
