Yes! we can slap with one hand, but cannot clap with one hand, so what do think in case of "Love" with "God".

Question on the board is:
Is one sided "Love" acceptable in the court of "God" ?

What do you mean by One-sided-love-with-God ? God always loves you ... so it is always one-sided (from His sdide) until you decide to leave loving this world and turn your attention to him. God keeps on waiting in anticipation of getting your undivided attention and love .... for centuries .... for thousands of years.

People "Love" god as the way decided by themselves, if all the Ways of "Love" are correct, Then why don't they reach salvation, It means their is some other correct way decided by "God" himself which can give us salvation.

So, mean to say, the ways we are adopting to Love god, are they not like one sided "Love".:)

First of all, all beings are going to get salvation sooner or later, because it is all limited by Kaala (Time) & it is all nothing but "Leela".

Now, "loving" God is slightly different from loving any worldly thing. We have to understand the difference. All our worldly love have origin in our some desires getting fulfilled by the loving process. It is not really "love" for "love" sake.

So, there is no one path of loving God. There are many ways a devotee loves God. God can be loved as "God-devotee", "Lover-beloved", "Husband-wife", "Mother-Son/daughter", "Master-servant" etc. etc. ... and all the ways of loving are ok ... though some may be faster & more direct than the others in reaching God.

Now, why very few people are sucessful in having direct connection with God ? The reason is our desires. We hardly love God ... we love Him for fulfilling our desires. This Conditional love has not much value in the eyes of God. Actually, this sentiment is there in us too (as we are also made of the same material !). We don't give much value to someone's love for us if someone loves us for getting some benefit from us. No one likes such "love" ... then how God can accept this. Our desires drive God away from us.

It is not important how we love God. Let's forget about about "How to love" ! It is not important at all in the eyes of God. The more important question is, "Why should God pay any attention to us if we really don't love Him but consider him some tool to fulfil our desires ... that is all ?". Everyone is after God asking Him to fulfil his desires ... we don't even trust God that when everything comes from Him alone ... can't we have a little patience & accept with happiness whatever He has given us or whatever He will give us in future ?

How many of us live solely by the will of God ? Can we simply leave everything into the hands of God and start enjoying the bliss of his presence in our heart ? Sounds so easy ... so difficult to do ! ... and that is Maya !

Vannakkam: What is love? Unless those in a discussion can agree to some sort of definition as a starting point, then it could lead to confusion.
