This is for the Bharat Youth.:)

These TV Ads and serial themes make you go back to the days of School, Teachers, Exams,Summer Vacations, Cricket, Hide n Seek, Neighbours, Friends, visits to Grandparents and
the only thing we ever feared was the fear of Exams and the fear of
Imaginary Ghosts :D

And Sundays meant TV shows and local movies on Doordarshan.

The days when everything was so simple. :D

Yep...all of em great ads.

The newer generation will also not know the simple beauty of life in Malgudi (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fm13saKCZbM).

These days, it is all instant gratification, checking email 100 times a day, sms, etc. :(

But I doubt if this is anything new. Centuries ago Adi Shankara sang (http://www.astrojyoti.com/bhajagovindamstotra.htm):

Balasthavat kreedasaktha,
Stharunasthavath tharunee saktha,
Vrudha staavath chintha magna,
Parame brahmani kopi na lagna.

The child’s mind is engaged in play,
The youths mind is engaged in his lasses charms,
The old man’s mind is full of worries,
But no one thinks of the Ultimate Truth.

Thanks for posting these. So many memories came back all of a sudden...I had a memory overload and couldn't handle...

Hamara Bajaj...amazing...it was my first motorized vehicle a gift from my grandma for getting first grade in board exams of 10th. :)

The doordarshan theme music...amazing...

I missed countless chitraharas and sunday movies because of studying or shall I say craming...
