Namasté, all,

I thought this to be a celebration worth mentioning, because there seem to be few fasts or festivals dedicated to Goddess Sati throughout the year. And she's wonderful. :)

I have to laugh when pondering how my clay "idol of cuckoo" will turn out. I can't even make a passable snake out of Play-Doh. Devotion I have, but talent for sculpture, not so much...

Namasté, all,

I just made a little bird, using only rose/chandan-scented ubtan powder (the only clay-containing stuff I had), water, and a chopstick.

Right now I feel like Hindu MacGyver*. Life is grand. :cool1:

*(For those who live in non-MacGyver countries: MacGyver was a television action hero, known for building amazing spur-of-the-moment tools and weapons out of random things around him. Like, he'd take a string, a piece of candy, a pencil, an old shirt, and some pennies, and somehow create a bomb that would blow up the enemy and allow him to escape his latest predicament.)
