Nothing new, but still prominent in my awareness lately-

During one's infancy, Mother is the center of the universe.

Combat veterans from many different wars in diverse times and places have said repeatedly that the most common last word of the dying is "Mama".

I feel extremely blessed- this day is yet another day in which I may expand, refine, and strengthen my devotion to most-beloved Maa, while I am yet still a "householder"...

though no ears can hear how beautifully painted a drum might be, that is no reason to avoid taking up the brush.

Thanks to all who have read, for forbearing my clumsy meandering...

Namaste JaiMaaDurga,

Beautiful post. Thanks for sharing. Love for Devi really is without intellect, which is why it can feel so intense.

Yes, I remember reading that somewhere. Is it natural to just cry out to Mother for help when one is in great pain or suffering? Consider also that the first word for many babies is "Mama". Amazing also to consider that so many languages around the world share a similar sound for the word mother.

No one can even enter into this existence without a mother. It is said that the first guru in your life is your mother, who carried each of us around for 9 months, who gave us the gift of life, who fed us with her milk, who was the first person in our life who we loved and who was always there for us. That's why they say that on earth no human love comes closer to illustrating Divine Love than a mother's selfless love for her child.
