Namasté all

I have stumbled upon a sloka of which I have become particularly enamoured. Can any of you learned souls please help me to locate and thus learn of the the origin of this glorious sloka?

O Lord anointed with the yogurt of the milkmaids’ worship (Krishna), O savior of the fallen, O master of Shiva, please protect me.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

Isn't it easy to find this shloka on the Net? It is a vedic mathematical formula for calculation of the value of PI to 32 decimal places. Check this link:

Thank you for your consideration ...

Yes its easy to find this aspect of the sloka, but is this sloka from the Rig Veda? From where does it originate within the great volume of scripture? Are there gems such as this throughout; or just one particular volume?

I am quite fascinated, and literally amazed to have learned this this morning.

Pi has always fascinated me, as an irrational number; here she has quite surpassed her self.

Vedic mathematics was developed from ancient sources by shrI bhAratI kRShNa tIrta svAmigaL in whose book this shloka occurs. Seems it has no earlier source. You might read about him here:

and his mathematics here:

and the book authored by him is here:
