Hello

Is it possible to perform a Lingam puja only using the mind? without having linga, without real milk and water...only imagine it....

I read this:
http://www.hindu-blog.com/2007/06/lingam-puja-how-to-worship-shivling-at.html

can someone do the puja described in the link above only using the visualization? Is it valid?

and Is it valid wearing Vibhuti only by visualize it?

every ritual is in the mind...and maybe it is the practical way to worship the Lord Siva

thank you

Yes. but not ideal. external worship makes the internal inspirations concrete. Nothing is external - when we are doing puja physically are we are also not automatically doing it mentally as well?

But when u have no alternative - visualization is fine. But in that case, visualizing the exact steps of the actual puja will not be of much use. When you want it to do mentally, why not simply meditate on the linga - you can also visualize pouring milk etc - but not for long. Mental worship is not intended to test your skills at imagination, for which taking up an artistic profession is better suited. Mental worship is to realize the right state of mind (mudra) and dwelling in it. Visualization (not elaborate imagination) helps in it - but only a first step.
