Onto the feet’s of conditions, qalander’s never falls down,
Like a star, when breaks from the sky, never falls down.
~
Very happily, into the sea, river’s fall down,
But into any river, sea never falls down.
~
When a drop meets a sea, becomes a sea itself,
When a lover meets death, becomes a qalander itself.
~
World is an erasable thing, will come, and will go,
Lovers are love, and love is god, which can never go.
~
Here the love is present, on the cross, to be hanged on,
More than a death, to a lover, what you can give on.
~
- By Baba Makhtum guru of famous sufi sait Warris Shah.
Kindly Note: In the above poetry, first time the word qalander means: the one who is away from all worldly shackles, and second time this word means: the creator or god.

Below is orignal sufi script and a vedio performance on this poetry in a movie named "Warris Shah":
Halaat k qadmo pe Qalander nahi girta, toote jo sitara zameen per nahi girta, girte hai bade shauk se samander me dariya, lekin kisi darya me samander nahi girta, qatra mila jo samander se samunder ho gaya, ashiq mila jo maut se qalander ho gaya, yeh duniya fani hai , aani hai jani hai, ashiq to ishq hai allah ki meharbani hai, ishq hazir hai suli pe latak jane ko, maut se badhkar saza doge kya diwane ko. -Baba Makhtum.

This is beautiful. If you feel like sharing more of his sayings, would love to read them. I did a Google search but didn't find much. Thank you! :-)
