And to think this was on National TV of all places just yesterday. Also a Primetime slot to make sure no one misses it.And to think that one of the "intellectuals" is an IYER-Sick race traitor. The moment of the show comes when he says describes dalits as:"the most oppressed people on earth, for the best part of 5000 years."TRULY DISGUSTING.Wish I was in Nepal.

Isn't there a problem with the mistreatment of dalits though...? (Please don't take offense.)

Historically there probably was. In some places today there probably still continues to be trouble. But the Indian government recognizes these problems and is trying to rectify this by *secular* laws. Affirmative actions is one such attempt - where the historical underpriviledged have been provided greater opportunity for advancement.

The money used for opening this park [685 crore] may better have been spent in helping the poor and needy instead of the way it has been wasted in the current manner.

No,never.
True, they have been segregated, but never enslaved, mistreated.Segregated, left on their own they couldn't even domesticate an animal so to say-so it is OUR fault and they have been oppressed.WOW!!!awesome logic ha??
All this you read in newspapers and the like about their OPPRESSION is just leftist, liberal ****.The quota system here makes affirmative action, forced busing look like a joke indeed.Trust me on that.

Sadly mistreatment of Dalits still continues in some parts of India, mostly the rural parts. Affirmative action has helped and hopefully this problem will end soon.
