Namaste,

The following video shows the Annakut/(Gujrati) New year's celebration on the day after Diwali in Ahmedabad, Gujrat. Volunteers prepared 2551 items for offering to the deities.

There is nothing like the faithful keeping the traditions alive by performing ceremonial rituals and reaffirming their faith in their deities/religion. Exposing the next generation to their ideals through such extravagant displays of devotion, and working through teamwork to make everything happen must give the participants an emotional high. Gujratis exemplify the concepts of togetherness and team spirit and must be commended for that.

The amount of loving devotion that has gone into that celebration is amazing. I pray that one day I too may participate in something like that.
