Vanakkam,

in Buddhism Mahayana, Lord Indra is one of 12 Devas of universe.

Then He is considered as manifestation of absolute (Ancient Buddha).

According Sutra of 12 Devas He have power around all of this earth and knowing about good karma and bad karma of sentient beings in world.

Then in Chinesse Buddhism, we believe Lord Indra is same with Chinesse Lord of Heaven Yu Huang Shang Di (Jade Emperor).
So in day 9 after Chinesse New Year (2012, Jan 31) on 00:00 clock
we do the puja to Jade Emperor.

We even know Lord Indra as one of Principal Deitys (can choosen to be YIDAM or personal deitys , someone can take refuge to Him and also can attain moksha by Him)

even some Sutras have a story about why Lord Indra can gain His Heaven Kingdom now etc. (Look like demi-gods).

But there is another Sutra who said acctually He is one form (Saguna) of The absolute. (Nirguna)

Well this 2 side of sutras not make me doubt. ;)
