Namasté, all,

Yajvan has taught in other posts - posts I can't seem to locate right now - that the Devas' revelation, the seers' visions, and the sounds' sanctity are properly respected by citing devatā, ṛṣi, and chandas for all Vedic verse.

Devatā is given in nearly all translations, and ṛṣi is sometimes given, but chandas is difficult to locate. Mind, I own no text translations of Veda and am relying solely on the Internet...Is there any source online that provides this information for the different hymns? Or will I need to look into book purchases?

(Also, if anyone can tell me the chandas for RV X.54, it would be a big help in the here and now... :o )

Namasté,

Finally answered my own question! A link to a beautifully transliterated full Rig Veda is here (http://linguistics.berkeley.edu/~gholland/rigveda/rvprt/), in case anyone else has the same request.

(And for the record, RV X.54 = triṣṭubh.)

Namaste,

Finally answered my own question!
Good to know that Indraneela.
Anytime I try to answer my own question, an argument erupts, and most times I lose the argument. :)

Pranam.

Namaste Indraneela, Believer,

Thank you for the links, well above my level of Sanskrit for the time being. I am interested to know if you are using pitch as well as meter in your chanting?

Believer :) , this is surely the only way to take an augmentative point counterpoint debate, to a level which makes arguing meditative!

Namasté,

Believer, haha! Usually I don't try to answer my own questions, as I live with cats, and thus any answers that don't involve food are rejected by the feline overlords of this house. (It's easier online, because they haven't yet figured out the Internet.)

Mana, I do not chant Veda; I sought this information because I'm writing a course essay about RV X.54, and wanted to cite the verse with proper respect. :)
