I know... but scroll to the next page - the politician is giving her the beautiful Ganesha picture and look at the little girl's expression.

I doubt she ever read scriptures to learn Dharma, adharma etc. I am sure in her daily job she witnessed much adharma. So what inspired her to act in this manner? I think it is the sense of Dharma embedded in the Indian psyche....
