Hello forum members

I was hoping that some of you could put me in your prayers so that:

1. I may have the strength wisdom, and the help of God to find the Truth about God and act on it.

2. That he may become a living presence in my,life, so that I may know him.

Thanks

Namaste Rudy,

Of course Rudy, it would be the least that I could do.
I hope that you will soon be blessed to find your path in this forest; I shall prey that you find illumination to help you see that you are already on your path; that some brush and stones just need to be cleared aside.
I am starting my evening mantra just now :)

Hari Om Rudy!

Yes, I too will include you in my prayers.

For now, may Lord Ganesha bless you abundantly and send you the proper guide. I pray that he will give you the courage to make use of your new found knowledge. Jai Sri Ganeshaya Namaha!

Namaste Rudy,

Certainly, I will include you in my prayers. I also recommend again for you to do some japa (if you are not already). Simply chanting the name of our dear Lord Ganesha will lead you to His infinite grace. May Maha Ganapati guide you ever deeper into Sanatana Dharma.

Jai Sri Ganesh

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers; as I too am looking for these things. I have begun saying these prayers; I think they will help:

Lord, You are now with me, yet I am unable to see you. Grant me Grace, empower me to behold You. You are my Light. You are my Father. You are my eternal Mother. You are the Breath of my breath. You are everything. From all sides, at all times, You are watching me, seeing me, blessing me. You are in the children, in the creatures great and small. You are everywhere. Will You not reveal Yourself to me?

Lord, lead me, guide me, purify me, render me peaceful, wise, strong, noble, saintly. As You are in me, express Yourself through me. Let me be a channel for the flow of Your Nature and Qualities. Not my personality, but Your Personality which is full of Perfection, finds Its expression through me. I don't want my will to be done, for my will is imperfect, exposed to wrong impulse, full of limitations. Your Will is wonderful, perfect, omnipotent. Let Your Will be done through me.

Do you mean chant Om Ganesh, Om Ganesh, Om Ganesh, or something more complicated?

Namaste Rudy,

I remember your posts from before, and I am moved to see how much you want to work on your faith. So many people feel it just comes upon them with no rhyme or reason, but even bhakti and faith in God must be nurtured through spiritual practice. Prayers and encouragement from us will help as well, and I most certainly will include you in mine. I agree with Ramakrishna on including Ganesha japa in your endeavours. For countless Hindus everywhere, He is the stepping stone to seeing and understanding God.

Do you mean chant Om Ganesh, Om Ganesh, Om Ganesh, or something more complicated?

You can just use His name if that is all that's required. Other mantras you may find useful include: "Om Gam Ganapataye namaha" and "Om Sri Ganeshaya namaha". I pray that Ganesha removes obstacles that might hinder your spiritual growth.

Om namah Shivaya

This may sound cliche but I would not be surprised if my detour to Agnosticism was part of God's plan.

I believe in a God now because I decided to think and read. All it took was a long painful year for it to sink in that:

1. God created the universe

2. The incredible fine-tuning of the universe

3. Science does not disprove religious experience

4. Longing for God is a sign he exists.

Knowing what it is like to live unsure of God's existance makes my currant state all the more sweet. I may not know God (Lord Shiva to me) personally right now, but I am determined to know Him one day.

Namaste Rudy,

That is fine. Something simple like that or just Aum or just the name Ganesh with focus and just a little faith can bring you much grace.

There is a recording by Jai Uttal. It's on YT, can be downloaded via a YT downloader and/or can be purchased from iTunes. I have it in my iTunes collection. It makes you want to get up and dance for joy of the Lord.

Ganesha Sharanam Sharanam Ganesha
Gam Gam Ganapati Sharanam Ganesha
Jaya Ganesha jaya jaya Gananatha
Om Gam Ganapataye namaha

Perhaps any one or all of the lines could be used? Others here will know better.

Oh, this is my wife's (http://www.hindudharmaforums.com/member.php?u=3892) favorite song. It is joyous indeed. :D
