Hi all,

Lord Hanuman is an incarnation of Lord Shiva. He was born to Mother Anjana and cared for by Lord Vayu. Hanuman-ji is often dubbed as an ape, but if you understand the theory of evolution we can see the human species evolving to where we are now.

The Ramayan took place approximately a million plus years ago, thus Hanuman-ji was a human of those ages. Thats why in Valmiki's Ramayan he is mentioned as a human. He is also present whenever the Ramayana is recited and he will continue to reside here until the end of Kali-yuga (the current age we are living in)
