Srisailam collapse

The temple gopuram at Srisailam collapsed yesterday. A blessing that no-one was hurt, but what an awful thing. Explanation and article here:

It was good that it collapsed in the early hours of the morning when there were no devotees around. I hope this serves as a lesson for the Govt. bureaucrats to not meddle with the safety issues for other temple structures and let the renovations go on.

This is terrible, indeed. Many temples across India have been neglected terribly. The rats who steal from the Hundi instead of paying the priests well and renovating the temples will pay dearly.
