doesnt the the gita state that the soul never dies?
could someone expound on this
Vannakkam SO: Views vary, as you might expect by now. For me the soul has two meanings. One is a portion of Siva that is temporarily separated, and for me referred to as the soul body to distinguish it from the other meaning. It is close to who we are. But who we are is the Self, which is even deeper, permanently identical in vibration to Siva. The soul body will eventually dissipate into Siva as well.
But this is only a very limited intellectual understanding, of what I've read or heard, and I have no personal verification of it. In reality I 'know' nothing, for such knowledge has to come from deep within, and only comes after Self-Realisation, or nirvikalpa samadhi.
In Hinduism, God does not judge. That is very much an Abrahamic concept.
Aum Namasivaya
namaste,
would you say that the soul encompass a person entire being?
