    Sandalwood Paste

    Hello all,
Does anyone know what the sandalwood "paste" is made with? Mine came in a little tub with a lump of sandalwood that is moist but very hard to get on your finger etc...is there something I can moisten it with? I'm wondering if its got a lot of oil in it...anyway the only way I can get some off is to scrape it with my fingernail and press the little bit onto my murti. Thanks in advance for any info!
    Namaste!

Vannakkam: Plain water is what is used. Then stir it well.

    Re: Sandalwood Paste

    Namaste,

If it is a dry lump, I would put some water in it and let it sit for it to get soft. When the lump turns into a mush, it can be stirred into a paste, ready for use in your puja.

    Pranam.
