I have a question about Ekadasi Vrata.
I don't know if these ways are common even to non-vaishnava but I heard from gaudiya-vaishnava source that there are 9 nine different ways to follow Ekadasi fast and it is the guru the one who decides which way Ekadasi Vrata has to be followed.
My question is:could someone please tell which these 9 different ways are?
Or at least provide a link?
Pranama,
Orlando.
I have no idea what the nine ways to do it, but for me, Ekadashi is simply no grains or beans. So one can still maintain a simple eating schedule, and do more bhajana of Sri Vishnu/Krishna.
I know that Ekadashi vrata is mainly a Vaishnava thing... I'm not sure if the other Dharmas also practice Ekadashi.
Good luck and Haribol!
